    How Can I answer such a question
    Why do we treat " money " as uncountable noun

    How much money do you need ?

    "Moneys/monies" = a formal term for "sums of money", used chiefly in business or legal documents.

    The money in your pocket is always singular.

    So you meant I can answer them by saying
    1-Money refers to sums of money
    2-Money is always singular

    You can answer by saying that when talking about the coins and/or notes in your pocket, money is always in the singular.

    The plural is a formal word used in legal or business documents.

    As to "why", the answer probably lies is its origins: from O.Fr. moneie, from L. moneta "mint, coinage," from Moneta, a title of the Roman goddess Juno, in or near whose temple money was coined
