I wrote this sentence in an ad----
The Monitor has had many congressional breakfasts, which have included many senators and congressman as well as their wives.
I understand the comma before which but someone wanted to put in a comma like this ----congressman, as well as their wives.
"As wellas " functions here as "including" or "and" . Since their is no subject and verb after it, I do not believe that it would go there. Does anyone agree with me?

I would not put one there - it is unnecessary.
