Should 'meet/met' succed with 'with' in a sentence?
Ex: I am planning to meet (with) this person. Should there be with in this sentence?
Also, people always say "I met with an accident", is 'with' neccessary here? Please clarify the usage of 'with' in such sentences.
'Meet with an accident' is fine - omitting the "with" would sound strange (though understandable). Again, this may be a local thing.
