    What's the difference between 'unless' and 'except'?

    'Unless' is like 'if not'- I'll go there unless it rains. (I'll go there if it doesn't rain)
    'Except' indicates a difference, exclusion, etc- I work every day except Sunday. (Sunday is the day I don't work, the one that is different)
