    Question

    Dear all,

I would like to have someone correct my following sentence:

Just as the previous action had lay down monumental milestone to mark the socioeconomic progress, so too the result of her action is likely to leave a significant impact on the country's economy and stability

    Thank you,

    sampahmel

    (Not a teacher)

I would express this in a somewhat simpler way:

Just as the previous action was a monumental milestone marking our socioeconomic progress, so too her action will result in a significant impact on the country's economy and stability.
