    miss understand in sntences composed

    why we are using these sentences instead of>>>>>


    River Mississipi instead of Mississipi River

    mountain atlas instead of Atlas mountain.

    is there any rule for that?

    Isn't it the Atlas Mountains, a mountain range not a single mountain?

    Lake, River, Mount usually come before
    Sea, Ocean, Mountains usually come after

    I agree except for "River," which, in the US, generally comes after.

    Mississippi River, Colorado River, South Platte River, Delaware River, etc.
