    Modifiers

I would like to verify the solutions from a workbook that I think might be incorrect. Correct the following sentences:

Hoping to catch the mouse, a trap baited with cheese was left under the sink.

Carlson was shredding the papers when the detective came in to destroy the evidence.

    Re: Modifiers

Maybe I am missing something but there is nothing wrong with either of those sentences.
