    operator English

If there are any mistakes in the below sentences, please tell me. Thank you very much.
    1. Welcome to Formosa Junior High School. Please dial the extension number or dial nine for the operator. For service in Mandarin Chinese, please dial the pound key and then seventy-nine.
    2. One moment, please.
    3. Please re-dial the extension number.
    4. Please dial the pound key twice if you would like to hold the line.
    5. Sorry. There is no answer at that extension for the moment. Please call back later.
    6. Sorry. The extension is busy now. Please call back later.
    7. Sorry, you've dialed a wrong number.

    Re: operator English

If there are any mistakes in the following sentences [or: the sentences below], please tell me. Thank you very much.
    1. Welcome to Formosa Junior High School. Please dial the extension number or dial nine for the operator. For service in Mandarin Chinese, please press* the pound key and then seventy-nine.
    2. One moment, please.
    3. Please re-dial the extension number.
    4. Please press* the pound key twice if you would like to hold the line.
    5. Sorry. There is no answer at that extension for the moment. Please call back later.
    6. Sorry. The extension is busy now. Please call back later.
    7. Sorry, you've dialed a wrong number.

*for some reason, people tend to say 'press' the pound key (and for some other single-key choices), while retaining the word 'dial' for other choices. Saying 'dial' is not incorrect, but may sound unnatural.

    I hope this is helpful,
    Petra

    1. Welcome to Formosa Junior High School. Please dial the extension number or dial nine for the operator. For service in Mandarin Chinese, please press* the pound key and then seventy-nine.

Quite often this type of introductory message is phrased something like this:

Thank you for calling Formosa Junior High School. If you know your party's extension, you may dial it at any time, or you can press nine for the operator. To hear these instructions in Mandarin Chinese, please press the pound key followed by seven-nine.
