    I've yet to meet

    Hi,
Could you please explain the meaning of the construction "have yet to meet"? What does it mean? Thanks.
"I've yet to meet anyone who can run as fast as him."

    Re: I've yet to meet

"yet to meet" means "have not yet met"

"yet" used as an adverb here gives you the idea that "I am still waiting"

    Not a teacher,

It means "I haven't never met anyone who can run as fast as him".
