    which of the following sentences is correct:

    "the president reinstated him 'to' his former position"

    or

    "the president reinstated him 'in' his former position"


    is it correct to say "i pretended king"? or i should say "i pretended to be a king"

    Prepositions are always tricky. I would say and write "to."

    is it correct to say "i pretended king"? or i should say "i pretended to be a king"
    I pretended to be king or
    I prenteded to be the king
    (Context could be okay for "I pretended to be a king.")
