    Cool You can look at shorts

    May "you can look at shorts" be an idiom?

    In any case, it has been found at the following context:

    "With a first time feature director, it is always a little risky because you really don't know how he is going to behave on a set. You can look at shorts but that is really a different form, so you don't really know."

    May it mean "You can do strictly your job, and no more expansions"

    No. It just means 'You can get an idea of their ability by looking at "shorts" they have made' (Short subject - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )
