    difference between...

    Hi,

What is the difference in meaning between the two sentences?

He cleaned the table while I did the dishes.
I did the dishes while he cleaned the table.

    Thanks in advance.

This difference can be interpreted in terms of figure-ground distinctions.
The figure would be the action in the main clause.
