reduce something to or render something to

Hi. My name is Ivan. I would like to know if I can use reduce to or render to with the word corruption. For example: reduce corruption to a minimum or render corruption to a minimum. I am writing about corruption and the idea I want to convey is that corruption maybe could not be totally eliminated but it can be reduced.

    Reduce corruption makes sense.

Render corruption ineffective could also make sense, but not in the context of your sentence.
