    Re: Check My Sentence Plz

Grammatically the sentence is ok, but it does not make sense.

After he had built his collection, he decided to take some chances in the wide salon where they were hanging.

Why doesn't it make sense? Now you mean different

He didn't build his collection, he had got it from somewhere and he himself made some chances or modified and doesn't take chance mean risk?

I think you need to provide some background.

People usually do not "get collections". They acquire/build collections by acquiring/purchasing objects.

What do you mean by "made some chances"?

For example painting the walls in the salon with different color

And he found/got the collection from somewhere like from a friend

    Re: Check My Sentence Plz

"take some chances" is still valid

I am struggling with what you are intending to say in this sentence.

Someone has acquired a collection of something [unspecified] from another person, which is displayed in a room. The person is trying to change the way in which this collection is perceived by changing the colour of the room in which it is displayed. Am I correct in my interpretation?

Sorry, I have now noticed, it would be "make some changes"
