    Hi,

    could you please tell me whether it is possible to say:

    The working hours will be spread over 5 working days.

    Hi, Hanka - is this part of a contract? If so, then "amortized over five working days" will make it clear that the working hours are adjusted within the working days.

    Amortized? I have never seen this expression used in this context. Are we talking about scheduling working hours? I just want to say that an employee will work 40 hours a week - 5 days a week, which means 8 hours a day

    It can be used in this way. But in this case I would say just what is intended: that the person works 40 hours per week.

    That's exactly what I am trying to say The standard working hours will be 40 hours a week spread over (or some other expression ) 5 working days.
