    type of word

The term for two words that have been fused together to form a new word, but not a compound word. The only example I can think of is cyborg, cyb(ernetic) + org(anism).

    Re: type of word

You are not referring to 'compound' words, which leaves 'blending', and 'portmanteau' words.
