    Hi,

    Can the word 'balk' also mean 'draw' ex: 'the team was losing 0-1 then balked to 1-1'

    No, a balk is when the person pitcher starts to throw and then stops.

    If you balk at something, you start to do it, and then stop. I was going to purchase a hot tub, but balked when I learned the price was twice what I'd thought it would be.
