    Question Meanings or meaning?

Q 1. Which one is correct?

a- Write the meaning of the following words. (Any five)
b- Write the meanings of the following words. (Any five)

Q 2. What do we say when we want our students to define nouns or pronouns etc.? Is it "Define nouns with some examples"? or something else?

    Thanks a million

Do you want them to write ALL possible meanings for each word?

Define "noun." Write 4 sentences and underline the nouns.

They have options. They can write as many meanings of a word as they remember. Even one meaning for each word will suffice.
    Looking forward to the answer.
