    Dear teachers,

    Please read the sentence:

    It was nothing more selfish than that.

    Does it mean: That is the only most selfish thing?

    Depnds on the surrounding sentences (or situation.)

    The child took two pieces of candy. No one made a fuss about it. It was nothing more selfish than that.

    or

    He ate all the food on the table. There was nothing more selfish than that since he had eaten just an hour before.
