Question make total prats of ourselves=?

The Queen is simultaneously the best-known and the most mysterious figure of the age. Can you imagine a man occupying the throne for 55 steadfast years with such a total lack of ego and vanity (least of all last week's birthday Prince)?

Of course things would run better if women were in charge. Females actually care about tedious stuff such as details. We are less likely to make total prats of ourselves.
    Hi!

    make total prats of ourselves=?

    ...fools of ourselves.

Prat = BrE slang for an incompetent or stupid person

    Thank you, Anglika.

It reminds me of another word - pratfall. I assume they are relevant.

    Related.

Another meaning of "prat" is buttocks, so a pratfall [which makes you look foolish] is a fall onto your bottom.
