    The more it snows, the better the crop is.

    Can we change the word order in the second part of the sentence: ... the better is the crop?

    Not a teacher.

    I've never seen word order that you brought up before. It sounds more like a question. I've just seen sentences like;

    The more you ignore me, the closer I get.
    The more we make, the better we want.

    Await for teachers.

    Such pithy sayings are expressed with an economy of words. So:

    The more it snows, the better the crop.
