Will any native speaker please help me with this?
What does the phrase "all wet" mean, does it have a meaning of "wet all over"?
Is there anything wrong with the following sentence:
I was badly caught in the heavy rain and was all wet when I got home.
I was caught in the heavy rain and was all wet (soaked by the rain, my clothing and body were completely wet) when I got home.
"all wet" is also an expression to mean that something is "all wrong" but is not used very often; usually slang use.
John is all wet with his decision to quit school.
