what does "packed lunch door" mean?

"I was in the middle of a queue to get my lunch but I couldn't wait. So me and a few other girls went through the packed lunch door round the back and ate lunch earlier. We didn't get into trouble!!"

A girl is talking about her lucky escape. I don't get "packed lunch door". What is it?

Red face Re: what does "packed lunch door" mean?

To be honest it doesn't really make much sense to me. But the only thing I can think of is that they are waiting in line in the cafeteria and rather than wait in the line they go through a door to eat in an area where people who bring their own lunch (packed lunches) eat.

It sounds like the "packed lunch door" is a door that lets you skip the line. You get to skip the line and spend less time because you brought your own lunch, and are not buying it.

I am not 100% sure, it might be something from culture that we don't have here in Canada.

    Hope that helps you.
