    Hi Tapies,

One of the best ways to understand these differences is to look at contrasting examples:

    He's kind of angry
    Their kind of shy
    I'm kind of late

German Shepards are a kind of dog
Groups are a kind of social structure
Salmon are a kind of migrating fish

What do you think the difference might be?

    I hope that helps.

"Their kind of shy." this should be 'They're'.

... except with some pretty heavy punctuation/context:

They say they're just shy. But theirs is a pretty loose definition of the word "shy". Their kind of "shy" is what I'd call plain snootiness.
