I am confused about possessive case.
- a car of Tom
- the house of Henry and Rose
- the car's key
- the woman who lives next door's husband
- Luis' laptop
- a John's cousin
Are they correct and why?
And in this sentence:
- I saw that stupid boyfriend of Angie's yesterday
Why we can't write " that Angie's stupid boyfriend "
so we can use
"the car's key"
and "a key of that car"
without any differences, right?
in "Practical English Usage", they wrote that :I saw that stupid boyfriend of Angie's yesterday (not "that Angie's stupid boyfriend"
I wonder why
