    suffer / brazen

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am on the right track by interpretation of the words in bold in the following excerpt from an NYT’s article?

“Even by the standards of terrorism in India, which has suffered a rising number of attacks this year, the assaults were particularly brazen in scale and execution. The attackers used boats to reach the urban peninsula where they hit, and their targets were sites popular with tourists.”

    suffer (v) = endure = bear

What is your opinion regarding the following two sentences?

I suffered the brunt of your displeasure.
I bore the brunt of your displeasure.

brazen (a) = marked by flagrant and insolent audacity = brazen-faced = insolent = impudent

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.

    Re: suffer / brazen

You asked only one question, to wit:

What is your opinion regarding the following two sentences?

I suffered the brunt of your displeasure.
I bore the brunt of your displeasure.

My opinion is that they mean the same thing.

Did you have another question about brazen somewhere. (My question mark key is broken.)
