    linkup

    Hi,

could you please tell me what "photo linkup" means in the following sentence:

We kindly request the British authoritizes to conduct a photo linkup of the suspects' pictures.

    Thanks a lot!

    Re: linkup

The requesting agency is asking that the British police enable an internet link to be opened so that they can see the pictures of the suspects.

    Re: linkup

Could this also mean that the photographs will be submitted to a witness who will identify the offender (link up the offender's photo with his actual appearance)?

No. There is nothing in the sentence to indicate that.

    Re: linkup

    The whole sentence is:

We kindly request the British authoritizes to conduct a photo linkup of the suspects' pictures, which will be shown to the Czech suspects.

    Re: linkup

That is odd - why are they showing the pictures to the suspects?

If it is to show them to the witnesses, then an electronic link is still the intended meaning.

I think that there are two groups of supsects In two different countries. And the suspects in one of the countries are willing to cooperate and identify their accomplices.
