    Meaning of a line.

    Hello Sir/Madam,

I want to ask the meaning of the following line.

" When i split an infinitive, God damn it, I split it so it will stay split."

    Re: Meaning of a line.

Do you know what a split infinitive is?

Can you give a sentence with a split infinitive?

Then we get on to the controversy....and then the meaning behind the man's outrage!
