A picture is worth a thousand words
    Dear Sir,
    What does 'picture 'mean here?
Does it mean real picture or imply actions ?
    Thanks in advance

    Re: meaning

It generally really does mean picture. Seeing a photograph of something will save a thousand words of description.

    Re: meaning

No*, it's a real picture. A picture of something provides much more information than a load of words that describe it.
