Close by home / close to home

Hi all! I'm new here! :)

    just a quick Question

could the following words be interchangable and are they grammaticly correct?

Ie - Find a job close by home

    or

    - Find a job close to home

I have been using the former would that be considered incorrect english?

    thanks for your help!

Hi I AM NOT A TEACHER BUT I CAN TELL YOU WHAT I WOULD HAVE ASKED IF I HAD BEEN IN YOUR PLACE.

find a job near by home .

to me the one which is find a job close to home seems correct.

hope this might help you .

Either 'Find a job close to home.' or 'Find a job close by.' (not by home) are correct.
