    Hi,

    Thanks.

    You may bear in mind that there exists a difference in meaning between the words you've mentioned (namely, bent and curved):

    When you bend an object, you may cause it to have either a crooked/curved or an angular form, whereas when you curve it you make it lose its straight form but without forming an angle.

    So, from the point of view of grammar it is correct, but be careful about the meaning you want to convey.

    Let me see if I got it right, please.

    Bent = very curved, forming a sharp or distinct angle;

    Curved = not straight without any angle.

    Thanks!

    Thanks, Anglika!

    Is ''are curved'' definitely incorrect or is it just an unusual style, please?

    Thanks!

    Re: bent backwards

    Not incorrect, if the context indicates its use. But in a simple statement, it is not necessary.

    Reasons for my answer (above)

    you asked:
    Is this sentence good English, please?
    *This is why it is correct (because I don't know whether you are referring to a toy anaconda made of plastic or some other type of material that can be either bent or curved, which is what I thought of, or not).
    *I don't know what I would have answered if you had asked what is biologically possible (I'm an English teacher. Not a biologist!)
