    Is this okay?

    Hi there!

    1. I was seeing a movie in a theatre at that time.
    2. I was seeing a movie with my girlfriend at that time.

    Is the use of "be seeing" in the sentences above okay?

    I always feel it looks strange when I see the verb "see" in a progressive form.

    Watching would be more appropriate.

    Your doubts are well founded as see doesn't usually take the ing form.
