    Re: uniform with number ten

As a Scottish football fan, I don't like the word "uniform" for sports teams. I suggest "He is wearing the blue of Sampdoria in the number 10 shirt".

    Re: uniform with number ten

Most English people would not call it a uniform either, it is usually known as a 'strip'.

    Re: uniform with number ten

In British English, uniforms are worn by policemen and soldiers and similar. As Bhaisahab said, "strip" is more common. A football strip would consist of a shirt, shorts and socks.

An alternative word is "kit" which would include the strip, boots and shin-pads for a footballer.
