    Is it right to write " I make mistakes in typing".?

    'I make a lot typing mistakes' and 'I make a lot of mistakes when typing' sound more natural to me.

    I make mistakes in typing.

    just like:
    I make mistakes in math.
    I make mistakes in decorating.

    you are implying:
    I make mistakes in (the subject of) typing.

    Your sentence uses the word typing as a noun.
