    Prefer

    I'm wondering if the following sentence means what I think.

    Princess A is preferred to Prince B.

    It means Princess A is better than Prince B, isn't it? She will be chosen over Prince B, won't she?

    Please help.

    Yes.

    That exactly.

    Just one quick thing: you used a form of "to be" in the highlighted question tag; the verb "to do" should be used. Not a big problem.
