    Question negation

    Hi everybody,

    what is more negative? I will never go there./I won't ever go there?

    They are equal in meaning.

    A lot would depend on how they were said, but I'd say the first is the form people are more likely to choose to show how strongly they feel.

    I agree with Tdol. I think "I will never go there" is more emphatic.

    Tdol said the first was more common, not that it was more emphatic.
    They both mean the same thing. Neither is more negative than the other.
