    tips on adverb

    HI

while the lecture discusses generally the benefits wasps provide, the reading focuses specifically on one becefit which happens when wasps kill caterpillers in the reproduction prcess, thus providing pest control.

shouldn't the adverb be before the verb?

can somebody give me tips on how to easily use the adverb?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

    Re: tips on adverb

while the lecture discusses (generally the benefits wasps provide), the reading focuses (specifically on one benefit) which happens when wasps kill caterpillers in the reproduction prcess, thus providing pest control.

Those adverbs are modifying benefits and benefit.

    When they are written as:
    generally discusses
    specificially focuses

They modify the verbs, discusses and focuses

    Re: tips on adverb

No, it will not mean the same.

Do not use the same word in the same sentence. Choose one or the other, and change one of the words

while the lecture generally basically discusses generally the benefits wasps provide,

    The sentences are gramatically correct.

while the lecture generally discusses generally the benefits wasps provide. I know this one is incorrect .

while the lecture discusses generally the benefits wasps provide.
while the lecture generally discusses the benefits wasps provide.

    i mean these two
does they share the same meaning and grammatically correct?
