    Question should i use "while" here?

    here is the sentence:

    I still remember that 30-40% was considered as the perfect grafting ratio of photoactive compounds, while she questioned why not 10% was better and tested the hypotheses by experiments.

    could you understand it? i am appreciated that if you would refine it for me.
