    I am thinking that if "She was the one who took the picture.", she (rightfully) is (still) the one who took the picture.

    Does this mean that either one sentence will be acceptable, say, if it is just a straightforward multiple choice question in an examination? Or if we have a situation at work, it will be dependent on the situation?
