Question break ? break down ?

Hi~~~ Would you help me how to say this naturally please?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------
A: Honey, I think this fridge is broken. All foods are frozen. You see?
    Or, fridge is broken down.
    Or, fridge has broken.
    Or, fridge has broken down.

    Can you fix this?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------

A: I think my printer is broken, I can't print color.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

A: Yesterday, I had a car accident, so my car was broken down throughly.
Replace man said there is no way fix it, should buy new one.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

Actually I’m so confused what’s the difference between ‘break’ and ‘break down’.
And ‘is broken’ and ‘has broken’

A machine that moves or that has moving parts breaks down; e.g., My car broke down.

    Dear Soup,

I really thank for your help

I just want to make sure that..

When it comes to the fridge, it doesn't move so I can't say

this fridge broke down. so I should say... like this?

** Honey, I think this fridge is broken. All foods are frozen.**

    it is correct?

    Hi flytothesky,
