    barbecue

First of all, happy Christmas to all of you!
My question is: is it right to say Im going to a barbecue on Sunday? I mean, can barbecue be used as an event/a place? How could I rephrase this sentence?

    Re: barbecue

'I'm going to a barbecue on Sunday.' is fine. Yes, 'a barbecue' can be an event/function etc.

    Merry Christmas to you too.
