    a last-minute scheduling conflict?

    Hello, guys!

In the following sentence, what does "last minute" mean?

The human resources director had a last-minute scheduling conflict, so Mr. Ahmed's interview will be postponed until next Friday.

    Thank you for your help.

    Re: a last-minute scheduling conflict?

Something came up close to the time when a decision had to be made ("last minute").
