Talking my ex-coworkers gave me as a faire well gift

Hello~ Can you help me say this naturally please?ⓐⓑⓒⓓ

A: What a nice lap-top, how much did you buy it?

    B: I didnt buy it.
When I quit my job my ex-coworkers gave me as a faire well gift.
They asked me what I want to have. And I just said like joking lap-top but unexpectedly they really chipped in money and gave me.

A: Oh, they are so cool.

B: Yeah, and its all because I have good personality. Just kidding, Hehe~

Re: my ex-coworkers gave me as a faire well gift

A: Nice laptop. Was it expensive?

B: I didn’t buy it. It was a farewell gift from my ex-coworkers. They asked me what I wanted and I jokingly I said, “a laptop”, and then they all chipped in and bought one!

    A: How cool is that!

B: Yeah, and it’s all because I have good personality. Just kidding. Hehe.
