    Plurals/possesive

I am of an age where I'm often not certain that I recall correctly grammer learned too many years ago. We have friends and their family name is, Weidhas, Mr. and Mrs. Weidhas. I assume that I would refer to the two of them including their family members, if any, as the Weidhases. I further assume, if I were referring to their camp, that I would write, the Weidhases' camp. We also have friends whose family whose name is, Muenz and I assume that they would be treated grammatically similar. Would somebody please confirm or correst my understanding?
Thank you in advance for your help............
    Bob

A good memory you have. You say the Muenz family, or the Muenzes; and the possessive form, the Muenzes' car.

Who knows, my Mum may have wanted me to be a girl, and her wish may have been so strong that you were able to feel it as your assumption
