    Choice of words

    Dear Teacher,

In the following sentence, the word "education" has an article:

The Trust Fund provides financial assistance to young people seeking an education.

I should be most grateful to know if the usage of "an education" is correct. Thank you in advance for your advice!

    Best regards,
    Ily

    Re: Choice of words

    Generally "education" doesn't need article:
Life is short and education ends with life.
In this case, people are seeking any education: computer, engineering, architure, art, science, agriculture, etc.
Therefore it needs the indefinite article which means "any".
