    look up close

    Hi

We just wanted to look at them (girls) up close.

--- Does it mean they just wanted to have a look at them from a short distance?

    cheers

It's with ...close up at the end of the sentence that the meaning is from a short distance, not the other way round.

Yes, I know that, but somebody wrote it the other way round and I'm just wondering if it means the same :)
