    Dear teacher

What does it mean when a writer says, "I am about to steal the silverware" ?

    Thank you

    Re: Ask question

    (Not a teacher)

to be about to + inf. = to want to do sth. in the next moment

So the writer is planning to steal the silverware any moment.
