Hi to all!!!
I have a question. Is "THANK YOU" is considered to be a sentence? If yes, what is the type?
OK, thanks. Then it is an assertive sentence where the subject "I" is implicitly referred and states a general statement. Am I right?
My native lanaguage is also Bangla. I would like to practice english with you if it is ok.
Hi to you. I am a Bengalee, a Kolkatan you can say. Happy to find you. I am an English teacher. I taught English literature at Honours and pass level for two years in a college and now I am working in a school as an assistant teacher.
I would like to thank you very much for your reply.
I went to Bangla medium school. I studied English just as a subject. It was not my favourite subject at all. I studied it just to pass the exam.
I found it a big challenge for me. I am ok with speaking now. But when my colleagues are in deep conversations about politics or culture I get lost. Therefore I am serious about improving my English skills. My aim is to improve my writing as well. As you read this writing you will find many mistakes. Please correct me. Thanks agian.

I am sorry. I did not understand what you mean here by saying:
"Grammatically speaking, that is a minor sentence".
Is it a correction in my previous post?
I guess you are talking about sudipta's original posting. I was not sure about it. I thought you made a correction to my writing. (anamica).
Thanks to you.
