'You must agree that...' gets me going too.

What I hate most is the expression: you know
You know, I personally couldn't agree more. After all, it's a fairly unique proposal.
I personally think that we should level the playing field once and for all -- absolutely. Still, at the end of the day, we'll probably need to level the playing field once again -- at this moment in time.
With all due respect, at this moment in time, leveling the playing field needs to be a kind a 24/7 thing, absolutely. I mean, it's not rocket science. It's a nightmare.
Then again, at the end of the day, maybe I shouldn't of written this post, even though I personally think it's fairly unique.
In any event, at the end of the day, let's be proactive and think outside the box. You know?![]()
I believe that people are using it not only as an adverb, from the grammatical aspect of the language, but more importantly, they are using it to claim a disclosure so that people do not misunderstand the meaning of the message. By including "personally", the person speaking is making it clear to the interlocutors that it is his opinion and his opinion alone where as an opinion without "personally" may be too ambiguous for others to understand that what is being said is and only is the opinion of the speaker.
