    when to use took / taken Kindly tell....

    You havenít recovered yet, I think you havenít taken medicine and rest properly. Hope you will take care of yourself.

    Is the above sentence grammatically correct.

    Kindly tell me is there any thumb erule regarding when the usage of took / taken.
    I know that using took in the above sentence would be incorrect, the mistake I do repeat oftenly.

    took- simple past
    taken-past perfect

    You haven't recovered yet. I don't think you have been taking your medicine. Nor have you been getting enough rest. I hope you recover soon. Please take better care of yourself.
